Frost Recovery At Tallangandra Hill Winery

When unexpected frost damage strikes, rapid intervention is essential to restore crop health and productivity. Switch Ag’s Frost Recovery Program provides growers with a targeted approach to crop rehabilitation, using carefully formulated treatments to stimulate regrowth and minimise losses.

A trial at Tallangandra Hill Winery, Murrumbateman, NSW, demonstrated the program’s effectiveness. Following a severe frost event in late October 2023, the vineyard implemented a structured recovery program. The application began on October 31st with 5L Advance Amino and 1L Plant Guard applied as a foliar spray. This was followed by a fertigation treatment on November 7th, consisting of 5L Refresh and 5L Advance Energize, designed to boost plant energy levels and accelerate tissue repair.

By November 21st, the vineyard exhibited significant signs of recovery, with visible regrowth and improved vine health. The cost-effective treatment program ($117.25/ha) proved to be a highly valuable investment for growers facing frost-related setbacks.

Switch Ag’s proven post-frost recovery solutions help growers protect their yields, restore vine vigor, and optimise productivity. Contact Switch Ag today to explore tailored recovery programs for your vineyard.
