Allan Tarrant
Role: Co-Founder, Head of Agronomy
Having over 30 years agronomy experience across Australia, particularly in plant science, crop nutrition and crop monitoring for both irrigated and dryland enterprises, Allan Co-Founded Switch Ag to deliver Australian farmers a range of proven soil & plant health liquid fertilisers. Allan was well placed to offer growers this change via his time spent in commercial agronomy backed up by university qualifications in Farm Management, Botany & Plant Biology.
Peter Calkin
Role: Co-Founder, Head of Sales & Marketing
After 20 years in sales, marketing, and communications, Peter developed a strong understanding of team work, productivity, data, and the need for innovation. With a family background in farming, he was keenly aware of the increasing challenges facing Australian farmers. That inspired him to establish Switch Ag, a company dedicated to soil and plant health, helping farmers to manage resources more effectively and contributing to long-term agricultural productivity.
Scott Langton
Role: Sales Agronomist, Tasmania
Scott has been around Agriculture for all his working life, beginning as a dairy farmer and growing a range of vegetables crops in Tasmania. Scott then completed his Masters in Business studies while managing a biofertiliser business in Qld. Possessing a deep passion for the power of working with natural processes to enhance the way we produce food and fibre, Scott has since returned home and is managing Switch Ag’s client base throughout Tasmania.
Darren Fahey
Role: Sales Agronomist
With a passion to improve soil health, Darren has a development officer background in the compost industry and a scientific research background with NSW DPI in vegetable and viticulture production. “I’m always learning and willing to pass on my knowledge to growers”.
Graeme Anderson
Role: Agronomist
Graeme is a highly experienced professional with a diverse career spanning agriculture, wine production, and the water industry. He recently completed a PhD in Agriculture at the University of Adelaide, focusing on plant responses in both horticultural and broadacre crops. With a strong background in Agronomy, Graeme has led trial work and product development aimed at improving soil and crop health while boosting financial returns for growers. Graeme is passionate about applying his technical expertise to support Switch Ag’s clients across South Australia.
Kylie Cooley
Research Agronomist
A lifetime of living on rural properties has instilled in Kylie a deep-rooted love of the land and interest in agricultural land management. After completing a Degree in Resource & Environmental Management Kylie has gained a reputation for conducting quality product trial evaluation work in both Government & private sectors. Highly motivated with an impeccable eye for detail, Kylie ensures that detailed trial protocols are followed and relevant data is collected from in field trials to enhance Switch Ag’s product offerings to our clients.
Brad Collins
Production
Brad’s been with us since the beginning, and one thing’s always stood out—his attention to detail. He gets it done right, every single time, no exceptions. Whether it’s a big task or something small, Brad makes sure everything’s in order, and we can always count on him. His dedication and focus are a huge reason why we run so smoothly. We’re glad to have Brad on the team, and can rest assured that the quality of our product is in good hands.
Kane Schofield
Production
Kane’s passion for getting things done right and on time is unmatched. He’s always pushing to ensure our production targets are hit and that our products are dispatched quickly and professionally. Kane takes pride in delivering results, and it shows in everything he does. Outside of work, his love for sport keeps him driven, and that competitive spirit definitely carries over into his role here. We enjoy having someone as dedicated and focused as Kane on the team.
Jim Cooley
Role: Sales & Logistics
Jim was raised on a cropping and sheep enterprise in Cowra and after completing his studies Jim worked in numerous sales roles across Australia. Having never lost his passion for farming Jim jumped at the opportunity to return to his roots and join the team at Switch Ag so he could make a meaningful contribution to both our business and his local farming clients. Jim also co-ordinates the logistics of goods coming into and out of our rapidly growing business.
Meagan Tarrant
Admin
Meagan is the backbone of our Admin team, making sure orders are processed correctly for our Production team. Her attention to detail and efficiency keep everything running without a hitch, including client invoicing. When she’s not handling the Admin for Switch Ag, Meagan’s busy juggling the schedules of her three sporty kids! With her knack for keeping everything in order, it’s clear that Switch Ag is lucky to have her on the team.
